No-Smoking Campaign

Tilleke & Gibbins actively promotes the no-smoking campaign of the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation in its present office locations in Bangkok (the Tilleke & Gibbins Building and office space recently acquired on a lease arrangement at nearby Tonson Building, called T&G North). The firm's policy is to provide a smoke-free environment for its employees, with the main objective of protecting all "secondary smokers" from the harmful effects of smoking. As of May 16, 1996, smoking was no longer allowed within the Tilleke & Gibbins Building, and the same policy is now also followed with T&G North. Those who wish to smoke are required to go outdoors.

As a result, Tilleke & Gibbins was recognized by the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation as one of 26 organizations who actively encourage staff to stop smoking. To keep the campaign going, the firm regularly disseminates information on the harmful effects of smoking through its internal newsletter and posters and educational materials displayed on its bulletin boards.
