service parts--these are just a few examples of counterfeit
car and
machine parts. It is unlikely that consumers would ever suspect
that they have purchased a fake item, especially
since they are never shown the genuine piece together with
the fake item by which to make a comparison.
Although a lot of counterfeit goods are harmless to the consumer,
goods such as these can result in injury and
even death if they fail to perform.
